  To follow up on my post. Here are the WSJT-X settings for the radio.. In this case I use port 60000 and the SmartCAT config… Now WSJT-X will control your PTT and and band changes.

  Dave is spot on. You only need HRD for logging when using WSTJX. Create a CAT port for tcp on 60001 and then set WSJTX to use localhost:60001 for the com and enable CAT .

  Node-RED flows typically use the TCP API (FlexRadio nodes) or the SmartSDR API (FRStackWebApi). You can fetch data with CAT but it does not make sense as it is limited compared to the APIs.
